Inspired by the California garden of celebrated landscape designer and artist Bernard Trainor, this painting reflects an approach to making that mirrors nature itself. I build the composition intuitively as the painting unfolds, responding to form, colour, and movement in the moment. The result is a space where structure and looseness coexist, echoing the way landscapes grow, adapt, and evolve over time.
